Review:

My first impression of the Brooks Ghost 9 was ‘Wow’ ! The red really stood out and the gold Brooks symbol just added to its appeal. The over all quality of the shoe I found to be excellent. Everything about it said ‘High End’ sports shoe. I was actually surprised at how light it was considering it looked to be very sturdy. I would definitely give it a 10/10 for first impression.

Over the test period I wore the shoes nearly every day for runs and general everyday things. I ran on concrete paths and on gravel/dirt tracks when doing a Parkrun. In both runs I found the shoe extremely comfortable as it had a lot of cushioning. Wearing the shoe I could tell it was more for a neutral foot type as I normally wear stability models like the Brooks GTS. Even so, I found my foot supported enough to do these shorter distances.

There was plenty of room in the toe box and there was no rubbing to cause blisters.

They definitely had more comfort than a couple of my other shoes. The stand out thing I felt with the comfort, was the almost ‘sponginess’ of the shoe. Takes the pressure off my knees and ankles when running on hard surfaces.

I would 100% recommend these shoes to anyone who has a neutral foot type that wants shoes that are great quality but not over priced. Their appearance is a huge bonus and I will continue to wear these shoes whether it’s for shorter walks/runs or just general everyday wear.
